Experiment 2.10 – Gamma-Gamma Coincidence and Angular Correlation

In this experiment, angular correlations of gamma quanta are analysed which are emitted in radioactive decays. Competence in understanding the set-up and the function principle of electronics for coincidence measurements is gained. The experiment uses two NaI detectors for which the angular and time resolution will be determined. Different configurations of the electronics modules and two radioactive sources, Na-22 and Co-60, are used.
