Experiment 2.12 – Scanning Electron Microscope
In this experiment, you will become acquainted with the function principle of a scanning electron microscope (SEM) by determination and interpretation of the resolution limit and other properties of the instrument. In addition, the composition of a sample will be determined by the analysis of the characteristic x-ray spectrum.
