TRIGA-Beamline on its way to Chicago

Bremerhaven, 5. April 2017:
The TRIGA-LASER Beamline, which was disassembled and boxed during the last months will be shipped today from Bremerhaven. Seven boxes with a net weight of over two tons are loaded onto the container vessel “NYK RIGEL” and will be navigated over Halifax to its destination Chicago. Here, Felix Sommer and Bernhard Maaß will take delivery of the beamline at Argonne National Laboratory. At the ATLAS facility, the setup will be used to measure the nuclear charge radius of ⁸B.
