Solution to the field-shift puzzle in singly-charged calcium

Our measurements of the transition frequencies in the singly-charged stable calcium isotopes have been published in Physical Review Research. With these, the discrepancy between experiment and theory existing in the field-shift ratio of two electric dipole transitions was solved. The level of precision of state-of-the-art ion-trap measurements was reached.
