Progress report of the HITRAP cooling trap published

The HITRAP Project at the GSI Helmholtzzentrum für Schwerionenforschung aims to prepare highly charged heavy ions for subsequent experiments. The latest advancements of the cooling trap are described in our open-access article published in the journal Atoms.
