Within the Collaborative Research Center SFB 1245 we have strongly intensified our collaboration with the (BEam COoler and LAser spectroscopy facility) at the National Superconducting Cyclotron Laboratory (NSCL). We have developed a flourorescence detection region to improve the detection sensibility at BECOLA, which has been employed for the detection of calcium-36. So far we have concentrated on investigations in the region from calcium to nickel. With the upcoming FRIB facility this will be extended into the region of heavier as well as lighter elements. We are engaged for example in the spectroscopy of aluminum isotopes in the near future. BECOLA experiment
